Latin American Perspectives is a theoretical and scholarly journal, founded in 1974, for discussion and debate on the political economy of capitalism, imperialism, and socialism in the Americas. As the journal’s Outreach Coordinator, I produce and host two podcasts: The Latin American Perspectives Podcast & Editors' Choice: Latin American Perspectives' Book Conversations.
The Latin American Perspectives Podcast features interviews with LAP issue editors, academics, and activists where participants discuss current research, political-economic issues, and social movements in Latin America. These conversations provide listeners with insight into many topics and phenomena discussed in LAP issues and articles, as well as important information on ongoing political and economic issues in Latin America.
Editors' Choice features interviews with authors of exciting new books in the fields of Latin American Studies and critical social studies more generally. The series is intended to share critical educational resources and information on a variety of topics and issues in Latin America and provide detailed and in-depth political and theoretical analysis of the texts covered. I co-hosts the program with my friend and LAP colleague Tomás Crowder Taraborrelli.
